Visiting the Lush Green Island with Kids
Arrival to Kauai and Maui was similar. The open design airport welcomed me with only-air condition being trade winds. The fragrant and openness air have brought the Maui memories back, and I knew it was in Polynesia.
The winter is commonly Nov-April and Summer May – October. The temperatures are soft, often not exceeding 90F. Trade winds are sufficient to cool you down; hotels offers air-conditioning for those who like it truly cold. There are many micro-climates from the hot spot on earth being the top of a Kauai mountain with over four hundred inches of rain per year. It can rain at anytime are quite warm and enjoyable so relax with baby gear rentals & beach equipment rental Kauai.
Waterfalls and Geography
Kauai is the oldest of the Hawaii islands and its dip in a rainy meadow only accessible through helicopter. The plentiful rain has carved the most amazing mountain range with extremely sharp peaks that green with tropical vegetation. While the waterfalls and plentiful, they are often hard to access, and simple to see waterfalls in a helicopter journey.
What to do in Kauai
This island is a nature-lovers paradise. You can camp, fish, swim, snorkel, hike, scuba, bike, paddle, and sunbathe with your baby… anything that has to with lovely nature. The Kauai has a ruling that the top building cannot be taller than the tallest palm. Maui has too many beautiful resorts, many blocking the view of the beaches and coast. I side with Kauai on this one – why build a solitaire on a little tropical island – it is out of scale, rude of its surroundings.
Kauai has an extremely nice, most hospitable people I have ever met. There is a vital amount of homeless, and they are tolerated, even support by locals. Kauai people are calm, kind and welcoming. Crime is almost non-existent. The just issues if occurs are by the visitors to the island – some who come for construction job tend to drink on the sandy beaches and harass visitors a bit. But do not afraid if you are with your family and baby.
My favorite things in Kauai
Visit Koke State National Park and hike from the road end to see Kalalau valley.
